Chad's Soccer

I finally remembered my camera at Chad's soccer game. They stuck him in to play the goaly. This was the very first time he has ever played goaly but he did super good. He loves defense so this goaly stuff came kind of natural.
He is not scared to get in front of the ball or sacrifice himself to get the ball. If you know Chad he has that crazy "I will get the ball no matter what attitude".
We were sitting at the midfield line, this was his very first drop kick of the game, he has a good foot. He did start sending it up field without kicking it out as he continued playing.
The first time he got the ball.
Kicking it to his teammate.
An awesome save! The whole time Chad was goaly the other team did not score once!
I don't know, we'll have to see what he practices and likes the best but he definately does not want that ball getting into HIS net...lol. GO DEFENSE!!

Video

Our girl has been pretty silly lately.
Trent keeps saying, man she cries like a girl, talks like a girl, and now she especially walks like a girl...lol.

Brian Soccer

Soccer has come around again and both boys had games. However Chad's was early in the morning when his mother wasn't quite all the way awake and he no longer fit his cleats so we rushed off to get new ones and I forgot the camera for him. Chad did really good, he loves the defense end of things. I did remember the camera for Brian.
This is Brian's team poster that his coach made, so fun.
Brian was a goal scoring machine.
It surprises me how patient he is with people handling the ball and then when they stutter or over kick it, he has it, and down to the goal he goes.
He understands the game well, when they got a chance on goal he would block them out perfectly.
He loves soccer! (because he gets treats...lol)
 Kylie watching her brother.
Well after the first 10 goals you kind of lose track of how many he actually made. I have pictures of at least 15 and there were more so your guess is as good as mine.
The coach came over at the end of the game and told us they REALLY could have used Brian last week. (we were in Boise) I said "oh were you short?" The coach said no. He could hardly find words to explain what he wanted to say (he was excited..lol), but he said well other kids just don't have the persistence to take the ball very far. That they don't understand the game. That Brian has a good eye, and good ball handling. Yup, Trent went home a proud father.

Chokecherry

Chokecherries where wonderful this year. They were so huge! They actually did look like cherries. So we picked a few since they are all around Great Grandma Murray's house.
And made us some chokecherry syrup and jam.....yummy!

Just Some

Kylie likes her picture taken, she will pose up a storm.
 Our beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

1st Day of School on THE BUS!

Well those of you who have seen my facebook, know I have been trying to get something done for our kids safety, but this is the temporary solution. Here we walk down to the bus stop that drives our kids a block to school.
Chad going on the bus to school for his first time at Syringa!
We could use this option of our crossing guard, good thing she's "only there for the kids and not money". (that's what she told me)
Or our other option is our "safest, ....
not a lot of traffic" 4 way stop. (so says the major)
 Getting off the bus!
Can I just say he was so super happy that me as a mother says...yup all these headaches are TOTALLY worth it!

Happy Birthday Trent!

We had a couple of good thunder/rain storms the past couple of days, which has been wonderful. This rainbow happened on Trent's birthday it was beautiful, right over our house it was actually a double rainbow but I wasn't getting in the mud for that picture.
Then today (Sunday) we celebrated his birthday with everyone. Here we all sat and waited for Garrett to almost burn his fingers off, but he didn't so no bandages were required.
What a handsome guy, doesn't even look like he's a year older!
He still has the lung power too.
Everyone waiting for cake and ice cream. It is fun to celebrate these occasions with family.

Oh kids

Kylie found a green permanent marker somewhere in the house and decided to decorate herself. After finding her and scaring her with my AHHHHH NOOOOO!!!! I tried to scrub it off with alcohol and cotton balls and did manage to get her face clean but the rest had to long to soak in. So this is her new body art.
I finally food a food that is not rejected by anyone in my house...CORN! We can not get enough.
It is also requested at almost every meal. Got to love that corn!
