Glasses

Well Chad found our 3-D glasses that we saw Journey to the Center of the Earth (very good show) with and decided to start playing with Brian. It was just fun, Brian got very excited when Chad would try to put on the glasses that Chad almost couldn't get them on.

A happy Brian with glasses on

A happy Chad with glasses on and as you can see Brian was happy no matter who had them on.

Fun Filled Saturday

Well last Saturday we were busy, Trent helped dad do his slues box for gold and found a little tiny nugget. Then we went to the Simplot party where Trent, Amy, and Me won Bingo. Poor dad didn't win once, Amy and me won twice. This is Chad having fun on the toys.

Then after the simplot party we went to Trent's parents neighborhood picnic, and they had the fire truck there. Chad loved it. Here he's giving the fireman 5, which was also the number of the firetruck. =)
Wore the oxygen tank only after Daddy did.
Brian Loved it too as you can see.
Yup, I just think he loves driving anything especially a "Big Truck".

Olympics At Our House

Well looks like this is the only video left of Chad's Olympic excitement. We did have others where Chad was yelling "GO USA GO!" over and over again, this is the one he realized we were recording and didn't want to say much...lol..oh well I guess the love of my life erased those for something more irresistible. =)

Family Walks

Well I really need to get updated. We go on family walks every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The kids love it of course, and it's good for us too.
This time Chad brought his bike and rode the whole way. I thought he would definitely want to be held and not walk or ride anymore. He surprised me.

Chad riding.

Park City UT Vacation

Grandma and Grandpa Murray had their time share in Park City, UT this past week and invited us to come last weekend. We were there from Thursday- Saturday. They were excited to take their grand kids out for a good time. Thursday we went shopping at the outlet mall, and then went to the condo. Friday we hit the slopes and went down the alpine slide and the roller coaster. Grandpa bought us passes to go on each twice. "Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!" We had a lot of fun. Chad loved swimming, and riding the spider man tricycle at the condo. Here are some pictures of the coaster.

Chad wanted to ride with Grandpa every time.

Chad loves watching tractors working.

The coaster goes almost all the way up the mountain and winds back down the mountain.

I finally talked Chad into going up with me. Marlene followed us down the hill. She always enjoys going down the hill as fast as she can.

Just look at my beautiful wife's smile

No Fear!

Chad loves the coaster and laughs the whole way down. He always tells me to go faster even though we are going as fast as we can. He had already been down once and he wanted to go again so we got him another rider pass. This video pans up the hill and down to get a perspective of how far you go up. Marlene is behind us.

Brian's New Friend

Brian was very popular with the staff at the coaster. Here is a picture of how cool Brian played it.
Here is one of his new friends.

Hazardous to my health!!!

After we went down the coaster we decided to go to the alpine slide. I thought I would start off showing my battle wounds and giving a little background. Marlene and I have always been competitive with each other whether it be playing sports such as ping pong, or racing. Now neither of us like to lose which usually results in one of us getting injured in one way or another. Well this time I lost. Yes, you read it, I Trent lost the race, and decided to do so in a not so graceful and recommended manner by leaving some of my flesh on the track. I was behind Marlene and had decided not to break where I usually do so and went airborne on a little drop off and ended up fighting to just stay on the slide as opposed to eating dirt, rocks, and shrubbs that just did not look appetising at the time. What was funny was when I was crashing I looked at Marlene and saw the terror in her eyes. Yes it was a comforting feeling because I knew then she loved me and was concerned for my health. She had stopped to see if I was OK, and I had jumped back on my sled and quickly said I was OK. The next thing I knew she had her game face on again and we continued to race down the rest of the hill. All I could think of after that was she may not have been concerned so much about me, but herself, and what she would do if I died and she had to take care of the kids by herself. I really need to just realize competing with my wife is hazardous to my health and just surrender to her.

Here is a good picture of the bottom 1/3 of the slide.
Chad loved to ride the sled even when we were not on the slide.

No, this is not Marlene's game face. It is more a pre-mature celebration of her victory. She knew what was going to happen. Just look at her.
Chad liked to ride with grandpa more than anyone else.

Golfing

On Saturday before heading home Marlene had taken the kids over to Evita and Gregg's house while my dad and I played golf. The course we played was in north Salt Lake City, UT and was called Eaglewood. Here are some pictures of how beautiful these courses are. I would even dare to say I like the scenery just as much as the golf.
This course is surrounded by mountains on one side of the course,
and on the other side it looks over the Salt Lake Valley.
This was an interesting hole, because it looks as if you hit your ball over the green it would fall clear down to the bottom of the valley. By the way I did so and got lucky and landed on a little ledge and fortunately my dad was able to find my ball in the weeds. It was interesting because I probably should have lost my ball on almost every hole but never did.

P.S. If anyone is interested in how I played here is the short version. I played the Pro Tees because I do not have the opportunity to do so often and shot a 77, par is 71. Six over from the pro tees on a course I have never played before is pretty good for me. My father played the pro tees with me and shot an 84 but though he hits it straight more consistently, he does not hit it as far and so the pro tees are going to be a little more difficult because they are further back. He still played well.

Rainbow

Well this rainbow was awesome, it was across the whole sky. We tried to teach Chad what a rainbow was before but it was a dinky one and he never saw it so when this one came we knew there was no way he could miss it! So now Chad knows what a rainbow is and the colors in one.

Boating Trip

Today we went boating. It was lots of fun to see our boys laugh and play and love it. This is Garrett backing up the boat to Trent's directions.

Boats in have to wait for the guys to park the car.
Brian was clapping he was funny, he didn't try to move with his life vest. He would sit and then fall over or try to crawl and then just wait there till someone got him, but he laughed and clapped so we know he was having fun.

This is Chad DRIVING his first boat, he looks pretty cool, like he knows what he's doing.

Here's Garrett, Trent, and Chad all swimming in the algae water, it was 76 degrees. Yup it was a fun filled day....after this we went to the Simplot Picnic and Chad had fun on all the bounce toys. He fell asleep on the way home he was tuckered out.

Balloons and Car Rides

This is Brian playing with the balloons he loves, it's really cute when he has to see where it went.

Right before this video Brian climb in the car himself and Chad started pushing. Brian hates to be stuck in the corner....lol...it's pretty cute.

Enrique's Visit

Here is Enrique and family, it was fun to visit with them for the short time they were here. My cousins Stephanie and Matthew have gotten really big since the last time I've seen them. Elizabeth also brought her sister Anna which the kids loved.
Brian wanted Elizabeth to hold him, which was odd because he is usually a mammas boy but she was a favorite to. He kept getting down then going between the two of us.
Chad thought Anna was great, they played soccer and dodge ball together for a very long time.
Then I think Brian thought it was Grandma by the way she was playing and running around so he decided to go to her. She was playing soccer with Chad while holding Brian at the same time. They were all having a good time and laughed a lot. We hope they all visit again, sooner than later.

Lots Of Fun

This was at Great Grandma's house, Brian loved getting on the big wheel and just sitting there, see how happy. I love that wrinkly nose smile.
This is another cute face, he's just loves sitting there.
Going down by the raspberry patch that no longer exists because the beaver used all the stalks for his beaver dam, and all in one night. Now we know where they get the saying "busy as a beaver".
Chad swinging "high". He loves swinging or riding the 4-wheeler, anyway we all had lots of fun.

More Birthday

This was his birthday party at our house the day of his birthday.
Blowing out the candle.
Yum that's good stuff!

Birthday party at Great Grandma Murray's house.
Notice my cool cake..yum it's checkered, chocolate and strawberry, Chad picks flavors well.
