Snow! Well Kinda

We have had very little snow this year. What snow we did get if you want to call it snow was that crunchy ice stuff that if you are really careful and light enough you can walk on top of. Well, the sun came out and the weather warmed up so our ice/snow stuff started to melt a little making it perfect packing snow. The kids decided they were finally going to build their things.
As you can see we had TONS of snow to play with...LOL. Some was still ice chunks, but they used every little bit they could.
If you notice Brian's snow man in the picture above it's the leaning tower of Pisa, and now, oops fell, have to start all over again.
I did not help them with their creations at all, other than supplying the carrot. I was warm in the house.
The final masterpiece! It just looks like a Brian snowman, cute!
The Princess Chair that Chad made for Kylie. Again, wow, creative little guys I have.
Kylie loved her chair, the only thing she complained about was that it made her pants wet...lol.
I thought I'd throw this in for the fun of it.
Almost everyday, we had these snowballs/ice chunks, whatever the boys found on the walk home from school. They always set them nicely next to the door on my front porch. Finally, I had enough, I didn't want this on my porch anymore so I went to remove it (boot kick it) off.
But how can you kick this? Hahaha, I did not know we had little guests or pets visiting everyday, what sweet kids! They always remind me I need to change my perspective of things, love them for that!

The Basement

We are starting to finish our basement. I did not think it would go as fast as it is, but when you have a father-in-law that knows his stuff and helps every week, wow it does! The framing begins.
The kids are also excited and have chosen their rooms, even Kylie wants to sleep downstairs...lol. When it's done we'll see if Brian will be brave enough to sleep alone or exactly what will happen, hahaha.
The electrical begins. The kids are ALWAYS wanting to HELP. I try to get them to help me upstairs but it's not the same...lol. Good thing their grandpa and dad are patient.
Luckily we had some real help, thanks Garrett!
I did not realize how much they were teaching the kids while they were downstairs till they rattled it all off for me the other day, wow! Well we got sheet rock, tape, and texture bids, so when they come back well see when that will get done, it's going pretty quick!

My Girl.. and stuff

My girl is so beautiful! She does like mommy's sparkly lip gloss and loves to blow kisses when she has some on, so cute!
 Me and my girl.
Here she is so happy that I finally finished her blanket. She picked all the colors and what ones she wanted next, just like the boys. It turned out cute.
This is the stuff. I still couldn't get a picture fast enough. There were SOOOOO many birds, most are down behind the houses, but when I looked out the window I thought there was a tornado till I looked closer and then ran to get my camera.
The poor car that did cookies down the Interstate and luckily ended up like this instead of flipped or in the opposite lane of traffic or something. Always eventful at our house!

A Date With My Son

Long story short, Trent couldn't come to a Spiro Party we had in Salt Lake so instead of bagging it like I thought, he suggested I make it a Mommy/Son date. Fantastic Idea! Chad taking a selfy of us driving down.
The view out his window as we drove down.
Made it to the Hotel, which was beautiful! Chad swam in the pool before we went out to dinner.
 At dinner with our friends.
When is the food coming? We're hungry!
Fettuccine Alfredo! Chad's favorite, he did share with the rest of us, what a good boy.
My mom putting on her coat, getting ready to go back to the Hotel.
Chad took a good picture of the group!
Then Chad made Hot Chocolate for everyone, (the whole group) before we went down and swam in the pool. Good thing the Hotel had a 24 hour pool, we swam for three and a half hours and got up to our room at 12:30 in the morning.
Chad woke up and played a little bit of Mine Craft till he did his second round of Hot Chocolates for everyone, again.
Before going to sleep there was a blizzard outside, this is headed out.
We got a good 2-3 inches all in one night, luckily the roads we melted off and clear.
I have always wanted to stop and do this and Chad was game so we DID!!
It was a fun trip, loved spending time with my growing boy, now we are home safe ready for school to start up again.

Other Christmas Pics

I forgot to post these. Kylie didn't talk to the Santa we had at our Ward Christmas party, and of course after he was gone and it was over she started to cry. Saying that she didn't tell Santa she wanted a princess for Christmas she kept repeating it a few times each day for a week, then we went to Costco and THERE was SANTA!!! So she ran up and told him what she wanted....so grateful Santa was there!
Just a cute picture, what a pretty girl!

Christmas 2013

My boys helped me so much this year setting up the tree and Christmas things. Maybe it's because I did it a week before Christmas and they were worried Santa may not come...hahaha. Here are just a few of the pictures we have.
 Christmas Morning finally came!
Kylie's present from Santa was a hit for all 3...lol.
Then the boys opened their Santa presents....
 and were REALLY happy.
They received so many wonderful presents. Can't believe how much we are blessed every year, not only with fun things but health and strength too! Merry Christmas!

Gloves

I started making fingerless gloves. I made up my own pattern and thought I'd test it on small hands.
They turned out cute.
She loves them and wanted another pair, after seeing these, I made my own pair...lol.
