On Saturday we went to Salt Lake to attend the Latino Cultural Event in the Conference Center. Trent was going to come down the Wednesday before to play golf but it was snowing so they rescheduled to play Saturday also. So we decided we'd kill 2 birds with one stone, that's how we like to do things.
We went to the new City Creek mall to drop off Trent. The kids loved it.
They saw fish in the little creek that goes through the mall.
Yes, fish! Not minnows. These were pretty good sized trout!
They were this big!!
Watching the fish.
Grandpa Murray arrived to pick up Trent. He gave each kid a treat and a hug, before he took their daddy.
Kylie decided to share her treat with the fish. Well they ate it, hope chocolate doesn't hurt fish...lol.
Then we went to the mall play area.
Chad climbing on a dinosaur to get a ride.
Kylie exploring, hoping to find a baby.
Brian holding on for dear life since his dinosaur felt his ride was over.
Then we had lunch, and of course a treat (not dessert).
My good sharing children...lol.
Then we went and played with our other friends at their house. Then went to the cultural event. The kids really liked it but were tired. After the pre-show Grandpa Murray took Chad and Brian and went to go visit Great Grandpa England. They loved their visit and remembered the last time we visited too. Kylie was glued to the cultural event. She clapped and sang to the dances and songs. I did cry once, it was when I looked over to check on Kylie and my mom was singing with one of the children songs and she was radiating, looking more like a child then my own daughter. Our childhood is still very much a part of who we are, even when we get old! It was a wonderful program. I then had my first In and Out Burger experience...all I can say is YUM!!!! (something I highly recommend) We then spent the night with Grandpa Murray who made us pancakes in the morning and sent us on our way. This is Kylie on the trip home, we are passing Downey and she's still playing with Grandpa and Grandma Rawson. It's hard to travel with kids or husbands and maybe even wives sometimes but over all we had a great time. I love making memories like this with our family!
