Teddy Bear Clinic

Today was the Teddy Bear Clinic at the hospital. The last years it has been CRAZY packed so this year we thought we'd go a little early. It was still packed but the kids loved it.

This dog is the hospital worker dog, he was also a patient, the kids stopped smothering him just long enough for me to get a picture.

The casting center. They asked each of the kids what happened to their animal to break their arm or leg. Brian said his snowman was sledding down the hill to fast and crashed into a tree and broke his arm...lol. Chad said his bear was wrestling a mountain lion and that's how his leg got broke....lol. Then they asked Kylie and she said "Elmo fell down and ouched leg"...hahaha, my kids are great story tellers!

Then Sponge Bob came by, Brian was SO excited, Chad just smiled and Kylie didn't want anything to do with him.

Then we stopped for a bit and had snacks.

Then to the helicopter! My boys were asking the crew so many questions, but because of their questions I learned a lot. What smart kids I have...lol. The helicopter is going to take off the ski's from it's wheels in the next couple weeks, but they are used to land on the snow.

Then to the operation room, where we learned about IVs, masks, hair nets, and oxygen.

Here is the station to get your stitches. Chad's bear needed a lot of work so we waited for him.

Then to the shots so we can be healthy and fight diseases.

At the shots, Kylie didn't want to give her Elmo or get close, it's because she recognized our nurse from our doctors office! She is such a good nurse too. After she talked to Kylie a little bit she let her have Elmo and they both came out just fine....lol.
