We heard it was going to be a crappy weekend so we decided to go on a hike.
What was funny is that Grandpa Rawson called later with the same idea.
Kylie rode most of the way, switching from dad to grandpa and back...lol.

Then Chad found this brick in the ground and dug it out then he carried it up the hill a LONG ways. Then on the way back he decided he wanted to take it home so he packed it all the way down the mountain and to the car.

We had "break time" where Grandpa came prepared with snacks. Yup, he won the thinker award, it was a hit!

Chad just kept saying over and over with awe, "The city is so beautiful, get a picture." "Do you see the beautiful city mom?" "Wow, it's gorgeous." "I love it up here." Yup, one way to appreciate the beauty all around is to go see it.
We stopped to have a bite at Grandpa's house but Chad never made it to the table...lol. We had a great time and NEED to do this a lot more! Love the outdoors now that the kids are bigger!

how fun! you're making me SO homesick with all those pictures. I used to do that hike with my family all the time, too!
